Submit project information for inclusion in the Gold Book Online.
August 15 is the deadline for projects that will be
considered for special recognition and awards to be presented
at the League National Conference.
The goal of the Gold Book Online is to create as complete a
resource of volunteer projects as possible. Submissions of all
completed volunteer projects are encouraged. There is no project
too small, too old or too ordinary to be submitted. Your
project just might be the next great idea for another group.
It is best to have the project chairman complete the submission
form. All of the questions should be reviewed before completing
the form. The form should be left open until it has been completed
and successfully submitted. Closing it prematurely will cause
the information that has been entered to be lost.
Look over the Guidelines
for Judging. It is important to follow the criteria outlined
so that entries may be judged equally. Awards
are given on the basis of the content, goals of the activity,
how goals were achieved and overall success of the project.
- For best results first review the
entire form. Type your answers for the "Project Description"
and "Volunteer Involvement" sections into a Microsoft Word
document or another word processing program. Then copy these
answers into the appropriate text boxes in the form. This
will give you an opportunity to think about your answers and
use spell-check. If you would like instructions on how to copy
and paste your answers, click
here.
It is also possible to type the answers directly into the
submission form. Click "review" at the bottom of the page
to review your completed form before submitting.
- Once you click "review" you will have one more chance to
review your answers before the information is sent. You
must click "submit project now" before your entry will be
sent to the data base. If you do not see a page that
says "thank you for your submission," your project has not
yet been received
- Leave this form open until it has been completed and
successfully submitted. Closing it prematurely will cause
the information that has been entered to be lost.
- Highlight text in the word processing documentPlace your
curser at the beginning of the text and hold down the left mouse
button, then drag the mouse to the end of the last word you wish
to copy.
- Copy textOnce everything you wish to copy is highlighted,
press the "Ctrl" key and the "C" key at the same time. Nothing
will change on your screen, but the computer will temporarily
store your block of text in its memory.

wish to fill out. Press the "Ctrl" key and the "V" key at the
same time. This will place the text in the proper field without
